Provides oversight of assigned seasonal employees. Ĭonduct herbicide applications for weed control and assures chemicals are properly stored and used in conformity with City, State and Federal regulations.Performs general preventative maintenance on equipment. Plows and removes snow from t parking lots, sidewalks, and facilities. Īssisting with special events as scheduled.Irrigation maintenance including but not limited to installation, repair, and scheduling of irrigation systems. Landscape construction including but not limited to soil preparation, fine grading, and sod and seed installation. Operates tractors, pick-up trucks, backhoe, utility vehicles, mowers, snow plows, trimmers, and smaller landscape hand tools. Ornamental care included but not limited to planting and maintaining of shrubs, trees and native plant material Park related maintenance including but not limited to: care of plant material, maintenance of park infrastructure, landscape projects, irrigation, athletic fields, various equipment operation, minor construction projects, litter control, weed eradication, shelter and restroom cleaning, snow removal, and sidewalk sweeping, using best management practices and general park standards Examples of DutiesĪssists with maintaining parks, greenways, streetscape/ medians, and other city designated properties. This position may require work on weekends and evenings and is required to assist with snow removal activities on an as needed basis. Employee may coordinate activities with other workers or work crews and may perform as lead worker for specific short-term assignments.
Under general supervision, performs skilled and semi-skilled manual labor and operates equipment used in maintaining irrigated and non-irrigated turf in the City's parks system, streetscapes/ medians, greenways and other city designated property.
